Enrollments
We have a curriculum that allows us to enroll students on a revolving basis (open enrollment).
Arrangements for payment of training costs are established at that time on an individual basis.

Full-Time Student Admission Requirements
The student must meet these requirements for cosmetology and instructor:
- Have
a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- If you do not have a high school diploma or GED, check with the administrative office for our “Ability to Benefit”
program.
- Have the following
valid identification: Social Security or Current Alien Registration, State ID or Drivers License.
- Submit to a personal interview.
- Demonstrate a sincere desire to become a professional
cosmetologist or instructor.
- Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older.
- For the instructor course, the applicant must possess a valid current Washington State Cosmetology
License.
Ability to Benefit Policy
A
student that is beyond the age of 16, lacks a high school diploma or GED, has the ability to benefit from the education and
training of this institution. In order to apply for this benefit; the student, prior to admission,
must submit passing test scores from the ASSET Test or COMPASS Test. These tests meet the guidelines established be
NACCAS and The Department of Education. Passing scores for ASSET: Reading 35, Writing 35, Numerical 33.
Passing scores for COMPASS: Pre-algebra 25, Reading 62, Writing 32.
High School
Program
This special program is offered through YV-Tech for high school
students who wish to enroll in cosmetology. High school students are allowed to attend school on a half-day basis and
receive high school elective credits.
Visitations
We
are open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We extend an open invitation to visit our schools Monday
through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to obtain first hand knowledge of how we operate, discuss training programs and eligibility
requirements for financial assistance. We will be happy to answer any questions pertaining to the industry. Our
schools are relaxed, friendly and enjoyable.
